From your eye test through to finding the perfect frames and lenses for clear, comfortable vision, we will take the time to ensure that all aspects of your eye care needs are expertly looked after.
We have a two step process to help you find the perfect glasses.
Frames come in an array of shapes, sizes and designs. Face shape is one of the aspects that we consider when deciding which design looks best on you. You can learn more about your face shape and the types of frames that would suit you better by clicking on the button below.
Face shape, skin tone and your hair colour play quite an important role when choosing glasses. We have created a guide on some of the best colours to consider or to avoid in order to complement and enhance your look.
Glasses for square faces
Square faces have proportionate width and length. People with this face shape tend to have a broad forehead and a strong jaw. Opt for narrower styles that are also angular in shape in order to complement your face and create a little more length in the face.
Glasses for heart shaped faces
Heart-shape faces are characterised by the forehead being wider than that the chin. We would recommend that you go for frames that are slightly wider than your forehead or that emphasises on the brow like cat-eye or clubmaster inspired style.
Glasses for round faces
Round face shape tend to be proportionate in terms of width and length of the face. We recommend that choose frames that would complement your softer features. The frames to go for are the rounder types.
Glasses for triangle faces
Triangle faces are wide at the jaw and narrow up to the forehead. By adding a little width to this narrower part of your face, you will, really emphasise your eyes. You should therefore go for strong brow lines or cat-eye shapes.
Glasses for oval faces
When you have an oval face shape, your choices of frames are technically unlimited as most frame shapes would suit you. We recommend that you go for styles that are slightly wider at the widest part of your face.
Glasses for rectangle faces
Rectangular faces generally have a deeper forehead, longer nose, with a stronger jawline. People with this face shape should opt for glasses with a strong brow line in a deep, square shape. Avoid rounded, softer frames that won’t make the most of your angular features.
You should avoid heavy dark or pastel styles. You may go for light coloured frames such as gold, bronze and silver as well as black and tortoiseshell.
Light grey hair gives you the freedom to try brighter and bolder colours. Rich, deep shades like red, brown, navy, blue, purple and tortoiseshell are great options. Metal styles and neutral colours like white, black and grey will have an equally appealing look.
If you have dark grey hair you can be as much adventurous as you like – so have some fun and go for bright coloured frames in metal or plastic. Avoid any frames that are too dark and heavy.
Black hair means you’ll look great in any metallics or dark colours, like black, gunmetal, tortoiseshell, blue and dark green. Simple shaped frames are specially recommended.
Depending on your skin tone, bright and saturated colours like reds, blues and purples will certainly make a statement, while pale and ashy colours may appear washed out against your dark hair.
Reddish browns, greens, golds, coppers, tortoiseshells and warm neutral colours, like cream will enhance the warmth of your natural coloring. Cooler tones of red hair will pair well with blues, greens and black.
We’d recommend steering clear of yellow or ashy tones that will have a dulling effect on your hair.
To add vibrancy to your hair colour, bold colours and styles can be ventured into.
If you’re a warm blonde with accents of honey and bronze tones, you’ll look great in a lighter tortoiseshell and warm shades like amber, peach, red, pinks, darker greens, and gold metals to mimic your natural colouring.
If you have cool, ashy and platinum undertones go for darker tortoiseshell and grey. You can equally experiment with pastel pinks, purples and blues that will complement your hair colour without overwhelming your face. Very dark, heavy styles and colours with icy tones should be avoided as they can wash you out. Cool blondes should equally steer clear of yellow or gold tones that will clash with the coolness
Bronze, and other warm-coloured metals will complement any warmer, red tones as well as well as reds, greens, burgundy, purple and rich brown.
Tortoiseshell glasses will equally bring out the rich hues and lighter tones in brunettes.
Black, blues, purples, pinks and even more pastel coloured frames will look great with brown hair with more ashy cool tones.
