Astigmatism is an imperfection in the curvature of your eye’s cornea or lens. The cornea appears to be of a rugby ball shape rather than a rounded shape. With astigmatism you have blurred or distorted vision at near and far distances.

Usually characterised by red, swollen and gritty sensation in the eyes. It usually involved the part of the eyelids where the eyelashes grow. 

Clouding of the normally clear lens of the eye occurs for people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is a bit like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window.

An inflammation or swelling of the conjunctiva, which is the thin transparent layer of tissue that lines the inner surface of the eyelid and covers the white part of the eye.

May occur in people who have diabetes. It affects the blood vessels in the eye and may cause progressive damage to the retina.

Symptoms include dry, red and irritated eyes and is generally caused by lack of tears production or when tears evaporate quickly.

Small, semi-transparent or cloudy particles that may be observed especially when looking against a bright background.

A group of disorders leading to progressive damage to the optic nerve. It is associated with the build up of pressure in the eyes.

Hyperopia or farsightedness, is a refractive error where the point of focus lies beyond the retina. In hyperopia, distant objects look somewhat clear, but close objects appear more blurred.

A symptom that is prevalent in certain eye conditions and allergies, itchy eyes are generally short-lived and easy to treat.

Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a refractive error where the point of focus lies infront of the retina. In myopia, close objects look clear but distant objects appear blurred.

A vision condition that generally occurs after the age of 40, where difficulty to focus on close objects becomes noticeable.
